Performance Plastic Apex Wheels

If you’re a fan of hard, fast, and smooth wheels, you’ll love the new Performance Plastic Apex Wheels. While most of the Apex Wheels are made from urethane, the new Performance Plastic Apex Wheels are made of a high quality plastic material.

These wheels are designed and made in the USA using a premium quality, custom Teak blended, hard plastic material. Each wheel is casted and cut in New York. This premium plastic material has a 85D durometer (hardness), a medium grip, and has a high squeak when you powerslide across a surface or do a sharp turn. 

The Performance Plastic Wheels are currently available in two different editions:

New Street Shape: 7.7mm diameter, 4.9mm wide (standard fingerboard wheel size) 

Shorty Shape: 6.6mm diameter, 5mm wide (mini fingerboard wheel size)

Just like all Apex Wheels, these wheels have a bearing pocket design that locks the bearing into the wheel. Each wheel contains premium bearings with an ABEC-9 rating. These bearings are our highest quality fingerboard wheel bearings. They are extremely smooth and completely silent. These are sturdy bearings that will allow extreme movement and control. However, due to them being greased and completely shielded, they do not have the free spin our "Ultra Spin" Edition bearings do. In actual use, they are extremely responsive and have a very free roll.

How do the Performance Plastic Apex Wheels compare to the urethane Apex Wheels?

The Performance Plastic wheels share the same shape and design as the other Apex Wheels, but the premium plastic is harder, smoother, and less grippy than urethane. 

Does this material squeak?

Yes! Many fingerboarders love the squeak sound that some wheels make as you powerslide across a surface or do a sharp turn.

How are these wheels different from the budget CNC Wheels? 

Premium Quality: The Performance Plastic Wheels are cast and made in the USA using a premium material. This material is slightly softer (85D durometer) and also squeaks during a powerslide or sharp turn. 

Shape: Like other Apex Wheels, the Performance Plastic Wheels are available in two different shapes: New Street Shape and Shorty Shape. On the other hand, the CNC Wheels are only available in one generic shape.

Bearings: The Performance Plastic Wheels contain our highest quality ABEC-9 stealth bearings. 

Bearing Pocket Design: The Apex Wheels contain a bearing pocket that locks the bearing into place, preventing it from moving around or slipping out of the wheel. It is nearly impossible to remove the bearing from the bearing pocket without the required bearing press.
